Week 5: Journey to Freedom

INTRODUCTION:

Jesus already paid for our freedom! He is the only source of true healing and eternal hope. When we lean on Him, we get to walk in victory!

1.Have you ever been disappointed by something or someone that expected would bring you freedom? When did you realize that your freedom could only come from Christ?
2. How do we make sure that we are pursuing freedom in Christ and not the freedom to pursue our own selfish desires?
3. What should we do when we fall into seasons of difficult accepting or feeling the freedom that God has given us?
4. What did you take away from this episode?

Week 4: Strength Made Perfect
Season 4, Episode 514

INTRODUCTION:

We serve a God of new beginnings! His strength is perfect and more than enough to us through any challenge. When we are week, He is always strong!

“But they wo wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”  -Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

  1. Was there a time when you realized God’s strength was made perfect in your weakness?
  2. What does it mean to be strong in the Lord?
  3. How can God’s strength give us comfort even in seasons when we are not enduring hardships? (Psalm 18:32

Week 3: Trust God’s Timing
Season 4, Episode 513

INTRODUCTION:

Scripture tells us to “wait upon the Lord.” Trusting His timing is not always easy, but His plans for us are always good.

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.”  -Psalm 62:1-2 (NLT)

 “Trust only in God every moment! Tell Him all your troubles and pour out your heart0longings to Him. Believe me when I tell you—He will help you! Pause in His presence.”  -Psalm 62:8 (TPT)

  1. Have you ever prayed for something to happen right away, and God asked you to trust Him and wait?
  2. Is trusting God a de-stressor? Has trusting Him ever lessened your worries?
  3. How were you able to come to a place of stillness, trust, and expectancy?

WEEK 1: Renewed Hope

INTRODUCTION:

God is our Redeemer and our blessed hope! He is the only One who can quiet any storm. The best start to 2022 is found by standing on His promises!

Proverbs 16:9 says, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” What happens when we put god first in ALL things?

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these tings will be added to you.” -Matthew 6:33, (ESV)
“Nothing will hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.” -Isaiah 11:9, (NLT)
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1. Has anything ever gotten in your way and distracted you from seeking God first?
2.What are some things that you do to draw closer to God and renew your spiritual hunger?
3.Why is it important for us to seek the knowledge, wisdom and understanding all the time and not just when we have a big decision to make or at certain times of the year?
